HOME MTC
This is so crazy... I'm finally the one writing my weekly email, and I am so grateful to finally be a missionary. I'll keep this email super short because it has only been a couple days doing online MTC. But everyone who did more than a week of at home MTC, I have so much respect because I seriously can't wait to get to Provo so I can meet my district.
The Home MTC has been so tiring but also so much fun. I have learned so many amazing things, so being on zoom for all the hours has been worth it! My district is so awesome, and we are all going to different parts of the world. I am the only one going to Virginia. My companion, Sister Tuilimu, her name is pronounced (TO-E-LEE-MU). It took me a while to learn, but besides that, she is amazing and we get along so well! She is from Magna, UT, and is called to serve in the Washington Everett Mission. The people of Washington are so lucky to get her! I love her so much already.
I want to share with you all a spiritual thought from this week . On Tuesday we had a Devotional by Todd D. Christofferson, and he talked about our purpose as a missionary. He said "They are not OUR disciples but they are disciples of Jesus Christ." This was a good reminder to me that we are sharing the word of God and teaching others about Jesus Christ. He also reminded us to bring them to Christ so they can experience redemption. I love that my purpose as a missionary is to share the true message of God and to show others the light of Christ that we all have. We just have to find it!
I love being a missionary and the opportunity I have to be a missionary. My days are filled with so much good. I leave for the Provo MTC on Wednesday and I'm getting sad to have to say bye, but I'm grateful to have this time at home as a missionary with my family. I love you all and hope you're having the best week ever!
Love, Sister Copeland
