Hello, everyone! I feel like I was just writing and telling y'all about my week! Well update, this week was again very busy, but I wouldn't want it any other way! It's been so fun working at the temple and meeting so many people. It's so cool to see so many hearts that have been preparing for this, the people of Virginia have been wanting a temple for years and it's finally here! And MY VIRGINIA PEOPLE ARE GETTING ANOTHER TEMPLE IN WINCHESTER!!! SO HAPPY, AND I KNOW MY HARRISONBURG PEOPLE CAN'T WAIT!
On May 9, 2022, Sister Hannah Copeland began her 18-month missionary service for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This blog is intended for those who want to share her experiences for the next two years as she serves the people of the Virginia Richmond Mission.

Week 47 - April 3, 2023
I hope everyone had the chance to listen to General Conference and listen to our Prophet who gave amazing counsel for us! I loved how he spoke about becoming peacemakers and developing the attributes of Jesus Christ so we can become that! I can't wait to read and listen to all the talks again!
We got to watch it with our friend Troy and his grandma, and he loved it! He had so many questions that we were able to answer, and we also set up a time to take them to the temple so we will be going on Thursday yay!! Everyone please pray for him:)
We had Zone Conference this week, and my Mission President gave an amazing Easter message that I'd like to share a little bit with y'all.
So, he mentioned that one year he and his wife spent Easter in the Holy Land and people would say, "Christ is Risen," and people would respond with, "Indeed, He is Risen." Such a powerful statement to know that He lives, and he truly is Risen. President Hutchison invited us to make Easter a season not just a day and to study his last days, so I want to invite y'all to do the same. He read John 20:13-17
"13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."
This is such a powerful scripture, Mary went into the empty tomb and felt lonely, sad, confused and don't we all feel like that at times. We all have our empty tombs, but then he said, "Mary." He called her by name, and he knows us by name and he turned her away from the empty tomb and toward the Risen Savior Jesus Christ. Let's all do the same and turn to He who Lives!! Because indeed He is Risen!
I love you all and I love my Savior. I loved what Sister Cordon said to never give up an opportunity to testify of Jesus Christ, so I know my Savior lives, I know that he was Risen on the third day, I know that he atoned for every one of us, and I know that he felt it all for me and for you! I know this by the Spirit of them who send truth and I cannot deny what they've given me. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
